Terms and Conditions

General

Material sold by Norwich Lumber Corp. is of high quality and workmanship, free from defects and damage which may make it unusable for its intended purpose. Norwich Lumber Corp. guarantees that all products sold meet or exceed all grade rules established by applicable governing bodies. The high quality and condition of our products is safeguarded while in our possession. The purchaser/ user must provide the same careful treatment in the handling, protection, storage, and installation of these products. Norwich Lumber will not be responsible for defects or damages resulting from improper care in the handling of our products.

Warrantees

Norwich Lumber Corp. offers no warrantees on any products. Warrantees are offered only by the manufacturers of the products we sell and may vary in scope and duration. Disposition of warranty claims processed through Norwich Lumber Corp. is at the sole discretion of the manufacturer. Manufacturer’s requirements for storage, handling, installation, finishing, and maintenance must be observed or warrantees may be voided.

Returned Material

STOCK MERCHANDISE presented for return must be in good condition with original packing materials (if any) and must be accompanied by original sales receipt. If determined to be in acceptable condition, returns are subject to a 20% handling and restocking charge.

SPECIAL ORDER MERCHANDISE is non-returnable. Engineered wood I-beams, LVL products, and glue-lam beams are non-returnable.

Claims

No claims for damages, errors in shipment, or shortages will be allowed unless reported within 10 days after receipt of goods. It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect all materials for possible damages, errors, or shortages at time of delivery and/or pickup. Norwich Lumber Corp. will not assume responsibility for damages, errors, or shortages unless properly noted on delivery receipt. Norwich Lumber Corp.’s liability for damages, errors, or shortages is limited to replacement of product only. No claims for service work will be allowed unless specifically authorized by us in advance.

Special Orders

All non-stock/special order items require a forty percent (40%) deposit at time of order.

Terms of Sale- Charge Accounts

Payments must be received by Norwich Lumber Corp. on or before the 10th of the month following date of purchases to be eligible for volume discount (pre-tax amount only). Late charge- a two percent (2%) monthly late charge will be assessed on all past due balances.

Billing Errors

If you feel a billing error has been made, you must notify us and provide supporting documentation within 10 days of date of statement.
